Into the swing of things - One Pot Pasta

Day in, day out. Work in... not out.

It's been quite a few months and lots has happened since.
Work at the clinic has been great. I'm getting to understand my way around and feel really quite comfortable with the events of the days. Granted I still make mistakes, but then again, who doesn't?!
For a dinner for friends I made this fantastic dish.
Oh this is just brilliant.

oh boy - "choo choo he's two" cake

So, 8 months. Must be a record.

Baking and cooking has taken a backseat and it has started to show with a few failed recipes within a week.

Nonetheless, I thought I'd share some photos and tips from the train themed cake I made for Elliot's 2nd.

Almost fell off the edge... Chocolate Fudge Cake

Hello.
I know, it's been months and I'm not quite sure if there's any excuse good enough to explain this absence.
Sigh.
I've still been baking and cooking but things just never made it onto my camera let alone here!

News Falsh

I'm in London! Yes. I can hardly believe it too and have to remind myself a few times a day that I'm here. It all happened really fast

Soft Bits - Gingerbread Cookies

Hello all!
I'm back pretty early this time cos I want to get a Christmas recipe in before Christmas is upon us.
My family hasn't exactly made gingerbread men cos it's just so fiddly to get the gingerbread man into the oven whole. Yes, you heard me right. More often than not we end up with his body bits baking separately. And that just wouldn't do!

A First - Nutella Batman Cupcakes

Hello!
It's been an exciting few weeks. Work with the girls has been quite a lesson! I seem to learn something new everyday. I planned 7 Christmas activities for the girls 2 weeks ago, and we're almost done with them! Gotta look for something else to keep them entertained. So far we've made Christmas Mobiles, Snow Globes, Paper Angels, Wax & Paint Snowflakes, Paper chains and Christmas Cards.

Just Imagine - Banana Walnut Cake with Brown Butter Icing

I'm finally here. Do excuse the short post; I write this as she plays shopkeeper with me where I am the shopkeeper that keeps giving her "dollars" back to her once she's had her tea & cake and asks me in a squeaky voice if Bun the bunny can come to the shop. :)
Her imagination is through the roof that I can hardly keep up! It's the daily interactions the kids have with everyone else that they seem to play out with their toys in surprising likeness!

Uphill Climb - Work & work

It's been a while. :)
Have baked a little with some success and launched an Order Book on Facebook with a couple of orders coming in. A little disheartening I guess but what's life without the downs?! Chin Up!

Back with... er... Apple Tart?

Hello!!
I'm back and I apologise for taking so long to get here.
The break in the UK was amazing. It's a wonder what a break away from home can do for some of us. (: Not that I don't love home, it's just nice to get away for a while.
Time was spent at Granny's & travelling with my twin, Rebecca who I hadn't seen in a year!
Food was amazing & I'll share some photos here.
I did bake in the UK. Just twice though. My experiment there was a Banana Caramel Cake. The cake needs a little tweaking. The caramel, on the other hand, was divine! So I'll have to make the cake again and post a better recipe for everyone. (:
