Oh deary me. It's been terribly long.
Night shifts are upon me again. It really throws everything into chaos. There's pretty much nothing you can do except sleep & work. I reach home, absolutely zonked, have a quick shower and collapse into bed. Instinctively my hand reaches out to turn off the light, only to realise that the only light "on" is daylight. grrrr.
I've got a new recipe which, in all honesty, is an old recipe tweaked and with different ingredients.
I mentioned in a previous post that the apple-cranberry bars could be filled with pear & raisins which would be a whole lot cheaper here.

Celebrate! - No-cook Breakfast
Hello Readers! :Dit's so great to have a day off isn't it? Just kick back, relax and take a breather....sigh, what a luxury!
Anyway, J's 21st just passed and I racked my brains for a good week or more before settling on what to do. Then my plans had to be executed. He isn't the rah-rah sort who's up for a big party. And I'm kinda fine with that cos in that aspect we're alike. (:

Whoops! - Apple-Berry Bars
Oh dear. It's like I've fallen off the grid on this blog. :/ I'm terribly sorry. It's been busy but that's really no excuse! So here's another recipe from the Bake Sale book...
I wanted to make something "healthier" for mummy's lady friends since they're at the age of minding their figures. Cookies, cakes & puddings were out of the question so I settled for a fruity bar actually meant for breakfast.

Product Review - The Fruit Factory
Heyya!!Soooo.... I do realise that product reviews are usual done on products sent to the blogger by a company looking for publicity. But I decided that since I couldn't bring the whole of Waitrose back with me from the UK, I'd choose a baking/decorating product and review it.
This was all for Father's Day...

Dark Chocolate Chiffon Bundt Cake with Pink Frosting
Heyya!Sorry for the delay again. Been quite hectic with work and other commitments.
Anyway, like I said, have great things to share with you!
Recently I celebrated my 23rd birthday with my twin sister, Becca. Yes, I have a twin. We're hardly alike but I feel that we've grown closer with age. (: One bonus of growing older.

Puffed - Apple Dumplings
Well, Adora introduced me to Sweet Paul and this is where the recipe came from. Slightly tweaked of course.
Sweet Paul is a lifestyle magazine with great ideas, photos etc. I've downloaded almost all of them and have a few recipes waiting in queue.

Crunch: Carrot Cake
I'm spacing out my posts now because soon enough I'll be cutting down on my baking.
Originally I aimed to produce 2 things from the oven a week. Alas, it is putting a strain on my pocket, waist line, and seems to be too much on top of my other commitments.
Maybe I'll venture in posting about food/baking related topics instead of purely my baking adventures. I did promise you a post on the varieties of flours available; and I will deliver.

Peach & Raspberry Mousse Cake
Adora is a wonderful friend of mine and I've been baking cakes for her more times than I can remember. Not all cakes have been a blessing and more often than not, I haven't been able to try the cakes myself. :/ Risky business.
I didn't get to try this cake from Whisk Kid but it sure looked and sounded wonderful.
I'd like to try it again and do a better mousse filling. I kinda whipped my cream a tad too long so some of it curdled. It was still spreadable but not all fluffy and stuff. Here again expensive ingredients were called into play: Peaches and Raspberries. I'll have to find alternative ingredients. :/
